Segment 6

New York has proven time and time again that it is the most resilient place in the world.

RXR Chairman and CEO Scott Rechler recounts how after the attacks of September 11th, not only did Lower Manhattan get rebuilt, but now, more people live there than before the attacks; how after the 2008 financial crisis, New York reinvented itself to become a technology hub, attracting some of the most successful companies in the world; and how after Superstorm Sandy, New York found ways to rebuild and protect our coastlines for the future.

New York has always found ways to be resilient to live through a crisis and to reinvent itself to bounce back stronger than before. We will see New York’s resurgence once again with COVID-19.
